COVID-19 CYC Updates 3/23

Drivers,

It is important to note that even though business has slowed, we are open and our drivers are still legally allowed to drive. As before, we still have clients who depend on us, people who need transportation to clinics, or hospitals, people who need to get groceries, or get to dialysis. For us it’s not just a job, for us it’s our civic duty to make sure our community has all the support to aid their health and safety.

With that being said we know that with these ever changing times it can be tough. That is why we at Columbus Yellow Cab are actively looking for new business opportunities to help ease some of the troubles that come with this current state.

Notable Company Updates:

  • Reducing the hours that CYC’s facility is open. Until further notice, our facilities at 1989 Camaro Ave. will only be open from (UPDATE): 6:00am until 6:00pm Monday through Friday and will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. With this comes a reduction in available staff during those hours.

  • Updated shop hours. With limited staffing, for the time being, the maintenance shop will only be open and available Monday through Friday from 7:00am until 3:30pm.

  • Voucher processing changes. Due to COVID-19 and the reduction in available staff, vouchers will only be able to be processed on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please make sure to have all available vouchers turned by 2:00 pm in order to have them processed.

  • We will be offering cleaning supplies. We have ordered spray bottles with disinfectant and gloves for all drivers, and will make sure to keep you updated on when they are expected to arrive. Until then, please make use of our communal disinfectant spray located at the CYC’s facility during our updated hours of operation.

  • Call Center representatives will be working remotely from home. Until further notice, call takers will be working from home. If you have any issue trying to get a hold of them, please make sure to take this into account.

If you have any questions please reach out to Chris, Tyler, Mike, or Val for they will be happy to help.

As always please stay safe and make sure you are taking proper precautions to maintain your well being.

Thank you for everything each and everyone of you do on a daily basis.
