PTI TRIPS

***The driver should turn in a white and blue voucher to receive payment***

All vouchers must have the following information:

The starting and ending odometer reading (I must verify the miles)-the miles

end once you drop off the engineers

All stops made by crew - Driver should write city and state, address of stop or

description (ex. McDonalds), arrival time and depart time

Wait time - Waiting time starts once the need time has passed and the driver

has arrived to the pick-up address

If the driver comes to Yellow Cab to pick up a safety kit -- write: 1989

Camaro Ave, in the Account Name section on the white voucher

If the driver has a safety kit in the cab -- write the address where you

accepted that trip. Please put the address in the Account Name section on

the white voucher

This account pays: $1.70/mile and $0.35/min for wait time

This account pays HALF of the miles for a NO SHOW plus any wait time

Picking up outside of service area and bringing back local: Driver will be paid

half the miles from here to the pickup location plus the miles for the actual

trip.

-----(Example Marysville Yard to Parsons Yard is 45.5 miles, the miles from

our office to Marysville Yard for the pickup is 47 miles. The driver receives

half of the miles from here to Marysville 23.5 plus all miles for the actual trip

45.5 miles= 69 miles@ $1.70 per mile= $117.30)

Picking up local and dropping off local: Driver is paid all miles from the

address he accepted the trip (if he comes to CYC then the starting address is:

1989 Camaro Ave) until he drops off the engineers.

Picking up outside the service area and dropping off outside the service

area: Driver is paid all miles from the address he accepted the trip (if he

comes to CYC then the starting address is: 1989 Camaro Ave) until he drops

off the engineers.


How to run a Taxi Card

1. YOU MUST TAKE THE CARD FROM THE CUSTOMER. (THE

CARD CAN NOT BE PROCESSED IN THE BACK SEAT)

2. WHERE THE OPTIONS TO RUN THE TRIP AS ACCOUNT, CASH

OR CC FORM ARE, PRESS, CC FORM.

3. ENTER THE NUMBERS ON THE TAXI CARD IN THE BOX

PROVIDED.

4. FOR THE CARD EXPIRATION DATE, ENTER 12/21, THEN

PRESS OK.

5. THE CARD WILL PROCESS CORRECTLY AND YOU WILL BE

PAID, CORRECTLY.

YOU CAN NOT DO THIS WITH ANY OTHER CARD. THIS IS SPECIFCALLY FOR TAXI

CARDS, NOTHING ELSE. TAXI CARDS WILL HAVE YELLOW CAB LOGOS AND

MARKINGS. NO OTHER CARDS HAVE THESE LOGOS OR MARKINGS.

How to add a stop

1. Meter must already be started.

2. Press "Add Stop" at the bottom left.

3. Press the search icon at the top left.

4. Type in the desired address.

5. The address will show up underneath the search bar.

6. Press the correct address.

7. Ask the driver, Is the system asking you to confirm the added stop or is the map on the

screen?

**If the driver says the system is asking to confirm the added stop, tell the driver to

press "Add Stop**

7A. The system will ask the driver if the trip is "Medical" or "Expanded" The driver

must chose one of those options to continue.

7B. The system will then send a message to the driver that his current trip has been

updated.

7C. If the driver answers that there is only a map, tell the driver to press the large Red,

Yellow, or Green GPS icon in the middle of the screen (Unsure of why colors are different at

times)

7D. Repeat steps 7A & 7B


How to process a credit card

1. Properly end the call (Press the destination address and Drop-Off)

2. Confirm the trip total by pressing "Calculate"

3. Confirm the trip total again by pressing "OK"

4. After pressing "OK" The phone or tablet will read, "PAYMENT SELECT"

5. When the "Payment Select" appears, switch focus to the credit card machine.

**On the credit card machine, throughout the process, the green button

will be for Yes/Accept, the yellow button will be for No/Decline**

6. There will be 2-3 questions on the credit card machine, one at a time.

The first question will ask if the customer wants to add a tip. The green button

will be for yes, the yellow button will be for no.

7A. If the customer does not wish to add a tip, they will press the yellow button.

7B. The total amount of the trip will appear, including tax and the customer will

need to press the green button to confirm/accept the amount.

7C. That will end the questions on the credit card machine, the driver's phone or

tablet will read "PRESENT CARD" and at that time the driver can swipe the card.

The card should be upside down with the stripe facing the person swiping the

card. The swipe should be from left to right.

7D. If the customer wishes to add a tip, there will be four numbered options.

Option 1 = $1 Option 2 = $2 Option 3 = $3 Option 4 =Other.The first three

options will automatically add into the total. If option 4 is selected by the

customer, the customer will need to enter the desired amount by pressing

numbers only and those number will type to a dollar amount. (Example:

Pressing the number 6 to get to a $6.00 tip. The customer will have to press the

number 6 three times. It will look like; 00.6, 0.60, 6.00)

7E. The customer will need to press the green button to confirm the tip amount.

7F. The overall total will appear, including the tip amount and the customer will

need to again press the green button to confirm.

7G. That will end the questions on the credit card machine, the driver's phone

or tablet will read "PRESENT CARD" and at that time the driver can swipe the

card. The card should be upside down with the stripe facing the person swiping

the card. The swipe should be from left to right. (RUN ALL CARDS THIS WAY, NO

MATTER IF THERE IS A CHIP. CARDS CAN ONLY BE SWIPED)

8. The card will then either be approved or declined. If the card is approved, the

driver will press "OK" and will be automatically returned to the main screen.

That will end the transaction. If the credit card is declined, the driver can

request cash, or, the driver can attempt to process the card again before

requesting cash. CASH and CARD ARE THE ONLY TWO ACCEPATBLE PAYMENT

OPTIONS.

9. If the driver chooses to process the card again, they will need to:

**Press the three bars at the top right**

**Press the icon at the bottom left that reads, Passenger** (This Icon

Resembles The Credit Card Machine)

**Confirm the amount shown on their phone or tablet by pressing

"Calculate"**

**Confirm the amount again by pressing "OK"**

**'PAYMENT SELECT" will appear**

**Repeat and complete steps 5 - 8**

10. Should the driver have an issue processing the card, the credit card machine

times out, a step is missed or there is an error made, have the driver do the

following:

**Press the three bars at the top right**

**Press the icon at the bottom left that reads, "PASSENGER"** {This Icon

Resembles The Credit Card Machine)

Repeat and complete steps 2 - 8
