Democratic Debate: Otterbein University

As some of you may know, today Tuesday October 15th Otterbein University will set the stage for the fourth democratic debate of the 2020 presidential election. This means that there will be a lot of activity, road closures, and national attention in that area today. The debate is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. As always expected, we want to make sure that all of our drivers act in the most respectful and professional manor possible. If you happen to be in that area the following list contains road and parking closures that will remain in effect from 9 am. Tuesday until 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Road closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15 to 1 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16. 

  • Main Street from Knox to North West Street

  • Grove Street from Park to Home Streets

  • Home Street between State and North West Streets

There will be no parking in the following areas during the same timeframe:

  • North West Street

  • West Broadway Avenue (no parking from October 8-16)

  • Vine Street

  • Home Street (restricted access)

  • Executive Court and Directors Court

  • Vine Street from East College to Park Street

  • Park Street from Otterbein to State

The following residential streets will be closed. Residents will be allowed access but should carry a state-issued ID or utility bill for proof of address to show law enforcement.

  • Sunset Drive

  • Martin Drive

  • West Broadway Avenue
